Managed to stuff up the video link promised yesterday. You can catch it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr1y1xpgxXU and I do recommend it!

A brief holiday

Just back from a very enjoyable week away - blobbing out and doing absolutely nothing (except reading some books and walking the dog) up at the beach.

Rosie thought the water was outrageously appealling and took any and every oportunity to partake. Loved frollicking with any and all dogs that she met. Ah, the joys of youth! I have put up a video of her for your entertainment. I threw a small rather waterlogged stick into the shallows for her, but it promptly sank! Then Rosie figured that shouldn't prevent her from locating it - so she proceeded to look for it with her head underwater. She would have really looked the part with a mask and snorkel, but that might have to wait for another time. No doubt if she had some she'd then be likely to pester me for some flippers! And a wetsuit?

Jeanette is dialling in again on wedding preparations for Claire and Chris and putting her energies into the range of details that all need to be thought about and taken care of. Nothing is likely to escape her eye for such things.

Today I joined the helpers at Zoe & Will's house helping with the preparation before the paint goes on (Monday morning I reckon...). It will be hugely satisfying to see the humungous difference that a paintjob will make to their place. Once we're painting, progress will be pretty rapid given that the exterior is bag washed brick (un-pointed motar) and stucco base. With shaggy rollers we should blitz it in a very short space of time.

That's all I write at this stage...

Cheers,
Bruce & Jeanette
