Showtime

In a couple of days we're heading down to Tauranga for the final preparation, build day and show days for our first 50 Plus Lifestyle Show. The second one follows shortly after in Auckland 8th - 10th October.

There has been a lot of hard work put in to get things to this point and we're hopeful for a great response from the Baby Boomers of the Bay of Plenty region, and that they turn up in good numbers. We have a great combination of exhibitors and and attractions and also have a couple of fun Guinness World Record attempts happening on Saturday afternoon during the show.

Have a great week...

End of the line for Blue

Friday was a difficult and sad day for us. During consultation with the vet in the morning, we had to make the very difficult decision that the time had finally come that we had to bid farewell to our old much-loved dog Blue. He was 14 and a half years old, and fourteen of those he lived as a integral part of our family. He certainly has had a great innings, and lived a long time for a dog his size.

The vets came to our home to euthanise Blue, and made the process as caring and humane as possible. Blue drifted off very peacefully with Jeanette and Joel and I there to bid him well.

We have had him cremated and will sprinkle his ashes out at Whenuapai, which was his happy hunting ground as a young dog, and always somewhere he loved to be in the years after we moved back into town.

We are certainly missing him and his repertoire of unique ways. He has been a loving and loyal friend through thick and thin and will always be remembered very fondly.
